Thermoweb Basket of Fun Slim line Kraft Toner Card Fronts

Today I’m sharing a slim line card I made with the Thermoweb Basket of Fun Bunnies toner card front on Kraft. I started by distressing the card front using Gina K Dark Chocolate ink, I used a full size pad and swiped it direct to paper horizontally down the entire card giving it a woodgrain look. Then I used Thermoweb Purple Sketch foil and ran it through the laminator. I wanted to add some pops of bright white so I took a white bunny toner card front added Pink Melon and Teal foil through the laminator. The I used Hero Arts oval infinity dies and die cut a few of the bunnies. Then I popped them up with iCraft foam squares randomly down the card. The sentiment is from a Unity Stamp Company KOM kit. The entire panel was die cut using Pink Fresh Studio slimline dies. I used a small leftover piece of purple sketch foil just to accent the bottom of the card under the die cut banner. Thermoweb Basket of Fun featured foils

one of my favorite things about Thermoweb products is that they work so well with different supplies you already own in your crafty stash.

I used the Taylored Expressions Field Notes 2 Kit to create all these cards. I stamped the images on Bristol smooth cardstock and loosely watercolored with Zig Real Brush Markers, experimenting with different color combos. I then sprayed them with Tsukineko Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spray. Once they dried I put them back into the Misti and stamped over them again VersaFine Clair to get super dark crisp lines. This is a trick I do with almost all of my cards.

Next I used some stencils and ink blend then I add Deco Foil transfer gel and stencils to create some organic feeling backgrounds. I purposely miss some area with the gel and don’t go all the way to the edge. I also always start with 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 pieces so I can die cut them later with I decide on my layouts.

The blue and pink card features Teal and Pink Melon Thermoweb Deco Foils. The Kraft background features Thermoweb Brutus Monroe Purple Sketch, this is one of my all time favorites and I think it works so well on Kraft. I love how the foils paired with soft watercolors gives so much contrast and shine. I finished the middle of the flowers with a little stickles. FYI these foils are featured on the Thermoweb website and are 15% off right now with free shipping if you spend only $35.00

the next two cards feature Thermoweb white flock and 3D embossing folders, this is a really cool technique my friend Sue Doherty shared with me at a craft retreat. The soft texture of the flock paired with 3D embossing folders is so elegant gorgeous in person. I’m going to order some more colors of Flock to try with this technique.

May last card is a little bonus. I ALWAYS save all my foil negatives. I used a negative foil called Summer Sunset, it was created using the Brutus Monroe Brush Strokes Toner sheets. I used spray adhesive to adhere the foil and ran everything through my die cut machine. Then I simply popped up the die floral image and added my sentiments.

I need some Spring birthday cards for my stash. All the birthday sentiments are from Taylored Expressions, it was an incentive stamp set a few month back.
